The summer of 2013 has been quite variable in regards to the weather. Periods of intense heat and lots of rain. As I was leaving my house to drive to the Fontainebleau Inn, site of Lauren and Dano’s wedding, I drove through a deluge of rain. My heart sank.
Upon arriving at the venue, the rain had stopped and it looked like we were going to be able to have the ceremony lakeside as planned. Only a couple drips of rain fell and only near the end of the ceremony… we had good fortunes with the weather
Formal Introductions were next, followed by the Bride and Groom Dance (Book of Love – The Magnetic Fields). At the conclusion of the meal the formal dances occurred. Lauren had a dance with her Father (Forever Young – Bob Dylan) after that Dano had a dance with Lauren’s Mother… they danced to “Safety Dance” – Men Without Hats.
The guests numbered only about 60 but that did not stop anyone from having a great time on the dancefloor.
Thanks to Dano and Lauren for being so nice to work with and genuinely wonderful people. I was honored to be a part of your wedding day.
Enjoy the rest of the photos I took…
