I had the pleasure of meeting Steven and Janelle Swanson (parents of Kara, the Bride) at the house of some friends of mine in Corning back in December, 2005. My friends (Mike and Deb Seaman) had referred me to the Swanson’s, and we set up an appointment to meet. It quickly became apparent that we had developed a chemistry and after several hours of socializing and getting to know each other, they retained my services for Kara’s upcoming wedding.
Flash forward to July 22, 2006. The wedding reception at the Corning Country Club was beautiful. The weather wasn’t quite perfect but the rain did hold off during the most important times of the day. Kara had arranged for there to be a Butterfly Release, outside of the Country Club. It was interesting to say the least. As the guests opened the triangle shpaed containers to release the butterflies, it didn’t take long to realize that the butterflies were more interested in walking around rather than flying. Chalk it up to jet lag or something. But it did provide some interesting photo opportunities.
The reception was a great deal of fun and it really was a pleasure to get to know Kara and Brian. Thanks guys and I do hope you have wonderful memories of your wedding day! Thank you so much for making me a part of it.
