Colleen & Jerry – July 31, 2010

It’s been a great summer for weddings and when you get good weather at a good venue with good people, well… it’s all good.

Colleen and Jerry had their wedding reception at the Fontainebleau Inn and once again everything just clicked and it became a wedding to remember. I was fortunate to be able to work with an awesome caterer, Dano’s Heuriger, an excellent videographer, Marybeth Longo and a new-to-me photographer, Crystal Herry. It was just one big happy family, so to speak and the entire day went off without a hitch.

The Bride and Groom’s first dance had to be one of the most well-choreographed first dances I have ever witnessed. I am not exaggerating either… Dancing With The Stars has -nothing- over these two. It was flawless and so much fun to watch. The song they danced to was “Unbelievable” by Josh Gracin. I was hoping for an encore.

After the great meal prepared by Dano’s Heuriger, the dance floor lit up with energy and stayed that way the entire night. One of the other highlights of the evening was a fun little interactive event called the Shoe Game. In this activity, the Bride and Groom sit back to back in chairs placed in the middle of the dancefloor. They take off their shoes and give one of the shoes to the other. They are then asked a series of questions to which they each hold up the shoe that represents who most closely matches the question being asked. For instance the question might be “Who was the first to say I Love You?”. It’s quite a crowd pleaser and interesting to see how each question is answered by means of holding up the appropriate shoe by the Bride and Groom. Lots of laughs ensued.

There were some fun group dances like the Cupid Shuffle as well as an Anniversary Dance that was enjoyed by all the married couples.

Such a great day, wedding and couple. My thanks to Colleen and Jerry for inviting me to be a part of their most special day. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the photos I took…
